The Plating Division is pleased to announce the latest upgrade to our black pen plating solution, the advanced formula of RH2PB.
This formulation has been improved by optimizing the most important features collected by market feedback:
- First and foremost the shade of black has been deepened to a darker tone, taking the L coordinate which was originally 62, and technically decreasing it by 6 points to 56 resulting in a clear and visible distinction in the final color. This move makes the new RH2PB, the darkest black rhodium on the market today without the use of heavy metals such as arsenic.
- Other than color improvements, the plating speed has doubled resulting in significant time savings and the levelness of the distribution has been optimized, making the use of the product much easier for the operator to obtain ideal results.
Black pen plating is an excellent product selection for doing two-tone designs or detail work such as black inlay, but most commonly used as a product to highlight black diamonds by applying to the prong area. The formulation is 100% arsenic free both in the metal deposited and in the chemical itself.
