Massimo Poliero

JTF President and CEO Legor Group S.p.A

Massimo Poliero è CEO di Legor Group S.p.A., Presidente del Jewellery Technology Forum e Vicepresidente del Gruppo di Studi sul settore orafo (Centro Produttività Veneto).
Si è diplomato in metallurgia e successivamente si è specializzato come “esperto innovativo del settore orafo”. Il suo background tecnico lo rende un profondo conoscitore del mondo orafo: prima di guidare l’azienda di famiglia ha ricoperto ruoli di assistente R&S (Balestra 1882 S.p.A.), responsabile reparto microfusione (Novi Srl) e direttore di produzione (Tecno Orafa artigiana). Inizia la sua carriera professionale in Leg.or come responsabile tecnico capendo la necessità di investire in tecnologia e ricerca trasformando di conseguenza l’azienda da piccola impresa di famiglia a importante realtà economica. Si impegna soprattutto nella ricerca per trovare soluzioni innovative nel settore dei metalli preziosi e non preziosi e successivamente dei prodotti galvanici di cui acquisisce le competenze necessarie per sviluppare una divisione interna dedicata (metalli preziosi e sali derivati).
Dal 1996 ha ricoperto la carica di Direttore Generale dimostrando doti manageriali che lo hanno portato a crescenti responsabilità all’interno del Gruppo che dal 2001 ha guidato nell’ottica dell’internazionalizzazione. Ha seguito l’apertura delle filiali strategiche in Turchia, Thailandia, Hong Kong, Russia e Stati Uniti dove si è trasferito per due anni. Oggi Legor Group è una multinazionale di successo riconosciuta dal mercato come consulente esperta di metallurgia.

Andrea Basso

Plants and Processes Manager Legor Group S.p.A.

Dr. Basso was LegorGroup’s Responsible for Research and Development and Manufacturing Technology. In 2003 he has been given the Award for Excellence in Research by the Santa Fe Symposium.

Elio Poma

Precious Metals Laboratory Chamber of Commerce I.A.A. of Vicenza, IT

Since 1984 he has been the technical director of the Precious Metals Testing Laboratory of the Vicenza Chamber of Commerce, the first institutional Italian laboratory and a reference point for Vicenza’s goldsmithing district.
As he is a teacher and technical expert in quality and certification of the goldsmithing sector, he works as a lead auditor for important certification bodies in the field of the management systems ISO 9000, SA 8000 and the accreditation system for test laboratories. He is a member of the Technical Committee of U.N.I.- the Italian standardisation body, and of C.E.N., which sets the technical standard for the precious metals sector. He collaborates as a technical expert with MAP and with ASSICOR in drawing up legislative and regulatory guidelines. He has taken part in different national research projects for the goldsmithing sector as part of the programme MURST-MICA “Pro.Art.”; exploiting products and processes in the precious metals sector; SAIME: devising innovative analytical systems for determining fineness in precious metal alloys.

Andrea Friso

Product Division Manager - Legor Group S.p.A. - Bressanvido VI - IT

Andrea Friso performs at Legor Group S.p.A. as Sales Division Manager of Master Alloys. Materials engineering graduated in 2003, he starts his cooperation with Legor Group in 2004 by writing his graduation thesis about ‘innovatively colored gold alloys’. He is the company business role operating between sales force, production and R&D, relying upon matured professional experience on the different product types and their positioning on different markets. He supports sales forces on commercial planning and the achievement of objectives together with their periodic control. He cooperates with the technical and R&D dept. as for development, enhancement and promotion of products.

Jörg Fischer-Bühner

Consultant in Research & Development

Dr. Jörg Fischer-Bühner holds a PhD. in physical metallurgy and materials technology of the technical university RWTH Aachen. Since October 2007 he is active in Research & Development with Legor Group Srl, Italy, and Indutherm GmbH, Germany. Before he was Head of the Physical Metallurgy and Precious Metals Research division of FEM, the German Research Institute for Precious Metals and Metal Chemistry.
