Developed from a research project (the results of which were presented at the International Symposium for Jewellery Technology at Santa Fe, Albuquerque, USA in 2002) carried out within LegOr's internal research and development laboratory, the new line of UltracastTM (patent pending) master alloys for gold jewellery production represents a new approach to lost-wax casting and mechanical working in this field. The innovative formula of Ultracast alloys can guarantee improved results even for the most demanding of goldsmiths. Version A Ultracast alloys have been studied specifically to obtain lost-wax castings of the highest quality. Version A Ultracast alloys offer accurate reproduction even of the finest detail combined with excellent mechanical properties and a moderate level of resistance to surface oxidation. A184N is particularly suitable for the production of high end jewellery with 4N yellow colour from lost-wax casting in closed systems and from mechanical working. |
