This year Confartigianato Vicenza and Confindustria Vicenza have once more organized 5 remote meetings dedicated to parents and third-grade children who are preparing to choose the future high school. The aim of these orientation sessions is to give voice to  Vicenza-based companies and to the young people who have just started a job and understand what the areas of improvement in schools could be to ensure the best training ito favor integration of young people in the job field.

During the November 2^nd, 2021 meeting dedicated to Skills for the Future: Vicenza companies meet families, we involved Luca Zanovello, laboratory technician hired in March 2021, from the Boscardin Technical Institute of Vicenza and Carmen Poliero, CEO of Legor Group.

Luca tells us how in his opinion the school is more focused on individual activities trather than team activities. The ability to work in a team is essential when you start working a job, he says, if the team works well, you will work well and the company will grow.

Carmen tells us about the company's difficulties in finding specialized professionals such as laboratory technicians, founders or maintenance technicians. There is the prejudice, she says, that these jobs, such as foundry work, take place in dirty environments, with high temperatures, which could have been true in the past, but nowadays these professions have also evolved and are highly technological.
